Cool visual contrast between the matte black background and silver vinyl wrap of the oblique stripes, with a different refractive index and that so generates a great visual effect under the lights
Other than the visual contrast between the matte black background and silver stripes there is also the glossy red to make the whole project even more unique. Glossy red, presents in a small part on the sides and back of the car and in a more massive way on the front bumper and the front part of the hood, with thin oblique red lines.
How we worked on the livery design
When Aikoa Racing Team contacted us, they asked us to create an iconic livery for their Audi RS3 LMS TCR racing car for the next TCR Italy championship. They asked us for something coherent with the Audi Sport style but at the same with a unique and iconic look, recognizable from all the other Audi RS3 cars on the grid and which was able to make the car stands out among all the other cars on the grid.
We tried to create a livery composed of sharp graphic shapes, oblique stripes coherent with the typical Audi Sport style which are even complementary to car body lines. Then using different vinyls with different finishes, matte for the black background, silver for the stripes (Audi Sport main color) and glossy red for the thin horizontal lines, we tried to make the whole livery even more unique.
